Methods for Spectral Analysis of Nonuniformly Sampled Signals

چکیده
The key element of Digital Alias-free Signal Processing (DASP) technology is the application of nonuniform sampling. In this case majority of the conventional signal processing algorithms cannot be directly applied. For the implementation of DASP, a set of new approaches was developed. The paper discusses several approaches suitable for spectral analysis of nonuniformly sampled signals. These include Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) of nonuniform sparse data, nonorthogonal transforms and the Sequential Component Extraction Method (SECOEX).

Spectral Analysis of Sampled Signals in the Linear Canonical Transform Domain
The spectral analysis of uniform or nonuniform sampling signal is one of the hot topics in digital signal processing community. Theories and applications of uniformly and nonuniformly sampled one-dimensional or two-dimensional signals in the traditional Fourier domain have been well studied. But so far, none of the research papers focusing on the spectral analysis of sampled signals in the line...
متن کاملQuantitative noise analysis of jitter-induced nonuniformly sampled-and-held signals
Traditional jitter-noise analysis which mainly focuses on the clock jitter errors for impulse-sampled signals cannot accurately model the sampled-data systems that practically include nonuniform sample-and-hold effects. This paper presents a comprehensive and robust analysis of the imperfections of nonuniformly sampled-and-held signals due to clock jitter. Both the general signal to overall jit...
متن کاملAdvanced Processing of Nonuniformly Sampled Non-Stationary Signals
A signal is stationary if its statistical characteristics do not change with time. Signals of practical interest often do not comply with this requirement [1]. It has been quit difficult to satisfactorily handle non-stationary signals using conceptualizations based on stationarity, as it is assumed, for example, by classical Fourier transform. Nonstationary signals justify the need for joint ti...
متن کامل\nonuniform Sampling: Bandwidth and Aliasing"
For spectroscopic measurements there are good reasons why one might consider using nonuniformly nonsimultaneously sampled complex data. The primary one is that the e ective bandwidth, the largest spectral window free of aliases, can be much wider than with uniformly sampled data. In this paper we discuss nonuniformly nonsimultaneously sampled data, describe how these data are traditionally anal...
متن کاملReconstruction of Nonuniformly Sampled Bandlimited Signals Using Digital Fractional Delay Filters: Error and Quantization Noise Analysis
This paper deals with the problem of reconstructing nonuniformly sampled bandlimited signals. This problem arises in, e.g., time-interleaved analog-to-digital converter (ADC) systems due to time-skew errors. A synthesis system composed of (ideal) digital fractional delay filters for the reconstruction was recently proposed in [1]. In this paper, we briefly recapitulate the theory and continue w...
